The words are harsh, but Viktor's tone is so gentle; so loving that there is no room for offense to sink in. Plus, he's right. This cycle isn't getting him anywhere but further in his own mess of a mind, deeper into the depression or dissociation or whatever label one could tack on to Jayce's current mental state...
"One such fact still being that I shouldn't be here." he mumbles in response, chapped lips catching on the plush mounds of his palm.
