Summary
Scaramouche had quite literally spent centuries trying to become a god, and finally, only a few months before he departed for Inazuma to steal the gnosis, someone had accidentally made the foolish decision to get in his way.
Now, typically he would simply ignore (or use violence to solve his problem, he uses the two interchangeably) whatever had gotten in his way, but this time it’s… a little more difficult to ‘ignore it’.
Needless to say, out of all the people to stop him, Scaramouche definitely didn’t expect it to be some random kid who shares his hatred for The Doctor.Or: Collei and Scaramouche somehow become friends but both of them refuse to admit it.

Maybe it had never been about Godhood. Maybe it had always been about survival.
Short, interconnected stories that can be read independently:
1. Escher takes Kabukimono under his wing to teach him something new.Those humans would have to choose, when a god came for them.

Summary
Childe only wants one thing.
It’s not a way to get home that’s easier than catching a serial killer for the Qixing in exchange for a boat the Fatui refuses to give. It's not the money they promised as further compensation, and it's not bringing the gruesome killer whose crimes can only be described as pure evil to justice.
The only thing he wants is in the very nation he was ordered to leave, and after quickly finding the perpetrator, he found a way he can stay even longer. Taking the killer's place in committing murders so horrible it's unfathomable for most while "solving" the case to buy time getting this thing is no problem despite a certain lawyer always on his ass, nor is figuring out how to obtain something that’s already so willing to give himself to him.
All Childe wants is Zhongli, and he’s willing to do anything to get him. Anything, no matter what the cost may be.

"Don't call me that." His voice was barely over a whisper, akin to the subtle whistle of the breeze among grass blades.
The fairy gave him a reassuring smile. "What do we call you, then?"
Aether took a step closer, kneeling by him. "Now that you're not a harbinger, not a villain, not a god… who are you?"
