Summary
They were supposed to slowly, imperceptibly drift apart.
They weren’t supposed to meet in the quarter finals of the World Cup with the entire world obsessed over the history of their friendship. And Jude certainly wasn’t supposed to let all that get to him, let all the noise disturb the perfectly assembled facade he’d had in place for years now.
He was so fucking stupid.
And now he’s sitting here drowning in every bad decision he’s made, and the worst part, the worst part, is the one person he knows could haul him back to dry land is the one who had unmoored him to begin with.
OR
An encounter in the locker room after the quarter finals leads to Jude running away, Erling chasing after him, and the soft beginnings of something new.

Summary
Norway lost to England.
Their plane is supposed to take off two days later. Sending a message to Jude, who is likely still celebrating his team's victory, and their advancement to the semi-finals, might not be the smartest move Erling has ever made, but it’s probably one of the most desperate. The man knows he shouldn't, he knows that once more, he’s about to break one of the few rules that he resolved to follow even though he had absolutely no desire to do so.
But he does. He does send a text, then reviews all the mistakes he has made since telling Jude Bellingham that they would both be better off finding girlfriends.
or
A world where two boys can have fun in front of the cameras, but must stop the moment it stop rolling.

Summary
Player of the Match title gives Jude Bellingham a trophy, a post-match photo shoot, and the Winner's Room with his chosen Norwegian player. Erling Haaland will put up with many things but not Jude being a brat.
"Hei, Erling."Jude recognises the accent, he's sure he does. Erling must've called someone on the team and put the phone on loudspeaker. The thought sends a humiliating thrill down his spine.
Erling replies, says something in Norwegian that Jude doesn't understand, but he does catch his own name. He tries to listen to the conversation, to place the accent, but it's hard when they're not speaking English. The brush of Erling's cock against his hole makes him whimper, momentarily grateful that the jersey is muffling the worst of the sounds.

"Have you seen the videos?"
"What videos?"
He swallowed, unsure if he should keep going, but something inside him urged him to.
"About us..."
Haaland looked at him with genuine surprise. One of them had finally dared to mention it head-on. They'd never done that before. It made Jude unbelievably nervous. What if he found it weird? What if he didn’t care? What if he liked it?
"Ah... yeah..." He scratched the back of his head, averting his gaze. Jude bit his lip.
"And?"
"And what?" The younger sighed. Was he being dense on purpose?
"What do you think about them?"
Haaland paused before finally looking back into his eyes. A small smile rendering his lips.
"What do you want me to think about them, Jude?"Something about friendship, distance, and complicated feelings.

Summary
And there was Erling, shoved onto the sidelines, sitting on a throne of "what ifs" and "send me a picture of you right now" messages. King of secret hookups and even more secret feelings, exactly where he didn't want to be, but couldn't seem to leave.
This is Erling Haaland, in case you don't know him.
A smart man learns from his own mistakes; a wise man learns from other people's. Haaland is neither.
Especially when the mistake he keeps insisting on making is named Jude Bellingham.

“If I told the media that I missed you like a brother, what would you say?”
“These are some next level mind games ahead of the match, Jude,” Erling snorts. Not that there’s anything remotely funny about what they’re talking about.
“Erling,” Jude tries, and it works, not because Erling is pathetic, but because this is the first time he’s heard Jude call his name in over a year.
So actually, maybe that does make him a bit pathetic. Whatever.
Or,
Jude is good at the whole self-discipline thing. But just ahead of England's match against Norway, it all comes crumbling down when he thinks of Erling, when Erling thinks of him, and when the internet thinks of the two of them together.

Summary
“Now,” The main woman in the middle said, “What do we think of the Norway v. England game?” The room quieted down as they all thought.
“Okay,” The bloke in a blue suit said, “Before we start talking about this can I just bring up the hilarious memes that have been going around with Haaland. I mean, they leave me crackling.” The room exploded into laughter.
“What?” Jude asked.
Jude Bellingham finds out he is being shipped with his old best friend, Erling Haaland, who he hasn't talked to in a year. Feelings that both parties want to ignore are brought up as the England vs. Norway game looms closer.

(The title does not have to do with the fic i was just listening to a song and it said it so.)
Jude was annoyed to say the least. He was going to have a new roommate. He’s been alone in this room for a few months, so yeah he was a little ticked off. This roommate was a mystery, no one knew who he was. He assumed a foreign exchange student.

Two days before England face Norway in the World Cup quarter-final, Jude Bellingham is the only one who can't seem to keep it together in training, so when a careless plan to use his own scent against Erling Haaland backfires halfway through the match, it drags an old, unfinished thing between them right back to the surface.

Summary
“Hey Jude.” Haaland says, his Nordic accent muffled through what sounds like fabric covering his mouth. “Hey, so, I’m just going to-what's that phrase called? I am just going to cut to the chase.” He continues, voice clearer now, leading Jude to assume he must have pulled off whatever was muffling his voice earlier.
“What does that mean? Also, wow, it’s been so long since we’ve spoken-”
“I am outside of your hotel, Jude.”
“You’re what?!” Jude stammers.

Summary
„Come up after the tournament. Stay here for a few days.“
Jude has spent years teaching himself not to look for meaning in late-night messages, birthday calls, and plans that never quite happen.
Then Erling asks him to come to Manchester, and Jude says yes before he can pretend to think about it.In a house Jude knows from video calls but has never entered, with rain against the windows, cold tea on the table, and fajitas waiting in the kitchen, the distance between them finally becomes harder to preserve than to cross.
Their words may have forgotten how to be close, but their bodies still remember.

Summary
Haaland stared at him as if he could see the gears turning in his head. He said nothing as he turned to face him and started walking, while the dark-haired man unconsciously backed away toward the door.
"You're a sneaky little rat, aren't you, Jude?" he said, his voice too low, his tone too deep. It was like seeing a different person, the Haaland who played on the field and tackled anyone who came his way with the ease of an American football player, not the Haaland who held him close to his chest during the freezing nights of Norway.
"You have to understand, I had to do it, they... they would never forgive me," the Englishman tried to argue.
