The group escaped WCKD after it was destroyed, and have been scouring the country for supernatural cases. They go after the more ‘righteous’ cases, like what we have going on now.”
“And?” Lydia asks, raising an eyebrow.
“And,” Chris continues, “the most peculiar part is that their leader is a Nogitsune.”OR
Stiles is still possessed by the Nogitsune when he is taken by WCKD. Getting merged with the Nogitsune and being renamed Thomas, he is trained to become one of the most powerful Hunters in the world along with his fellow Gladers. Summary
Jack charged forwards. One of the final few people left standing in the room launched forwards and grabbed for his gun hand. Jack threw him off, but it cost him precious seconds of time.
The guy with Mac in a headlock lifted his other hand, and Jack could finally make out what he’d scooped up off the floor. It wasn’t a knife, like Jack had feared, but it was a syringe which was still bad enough for Jack’s heart to seize in his chest.
The man plunged the syringe in Mac’s neck, and Jack made the shot.

Summary
Set post Season 3 but in this continuity, Phoenix is never disbanded and Codex doesn't exist.
Mac and Desi's relationship is not going well. Desi started to lash out at Mac after missions: at first just snapping at him, but lately their arguments have turned worse.
Murdoc has waited hours for that annoying little guard dog to leave so he can break into Angus's house to taunt his favorite boy scout. He finds something he wasn't expecting.
