“You are,” Crowley agrees. Because he kissed Aziraphale, damn it, and he’d been rejected. It’s not fair for him to keep coming around like this, like he can jerk on Crowley’s chain and he’ll come running back, a pretty demon pet for the Supreme Archangel. “You are incredibly selfish, Aziraphale, always asking for more than I’m willing to give. I’m not some pet you can keep on the end of a leash. You made it clear that you don’t love me, so get the fuck out of my life.”
Aziraphale’s head snaps up, eyes blazing, and Crowley has exactly two seconds to think oh, fuck –
In an eerily familiar move, Aziraphale crosses the floor, seizes him by the lapels of his jacket, and pulls him into a desperate kiss.
Crowley flounders for all of three seconds before he kisses back, anguish and pain giving way to bone-deep pleasure and rightness.
When Aziraphale does pull back, gasping for breath, he doesn’t go far. Just pants, open-mouthed, against Crowley’s lips. “Don’t… you… ever,” he gasps, “think that.”
Five times Aziraphale and Crowley argue, and the one time they don't.

“I do miss when you had more hair, it was lovely,” Aziraphale says, studying Crowley meditatively over the top of his book. They’re sitting in the back room of the shop, not doing anything in particular, and Crowley has done absolutely nothing to deserve a comment like that.
“Ssorry?” Crowley says, startled into half a hiss, because the only reasonable answer is that he was daydreaming or something, slipped off into another world while staring at the ceiling and thinking about nothing, and misheard very dramatically.

Summary
The world didn’t end. Everything is fine.
Except it isn’t, because six thousand years of pining and repression and denial aren’t swept away in an instant, and both Crowley and Aziraphale are very bad at talking about their emotions.
In other words: I took that beautiful ending scene at the Ritz, and I turned it into angst. But it’ll be all right in the end, it just takes a little longer.
This fic was begun long before S2, and does not take S2 into account. S2 did make me feel very validated in my characterizations, though.

Summary
Muriel has been left with perhaps the most important job of their existence - running the bookshop of the Supreme Archangel. They know nothing of books, or shops, or bookshops, but how hard can it be?
Not that hard, apparently, though it does get much worse when Crowley returns. Together, they have to try and find out why Aziraphale left, and what can be done to bring him back.
This is the story of what happens after Season 2, primarily revolving around how Muriel deals with a heart-broken demon. It is, for the most part, funny and quippy and sweet, but you can't have a good post-season 2 fic without a good deal of angst as well.
