Kylo - or "Mat the Radar Technician" - needs a date to the stormtrooper's secret party, where he can have some real talk with real folks. It shouldn't be too hard to find out what's really going on in the lower decks.
But he's not the only one going undercover.
Rey needs to find a way off the Finalizer. Being saddled with Matt the Radar Technician shouldn't prove too much of a problem...

Summary
Dr. Strange looks at the world after Thanos and, faced with its seemingly irreparable brokenness, breaks his own oath. Tony, Stephen, and Loki go back in time for one more chance - an intentional choice, because they are each other's insurance against repeating the same mistakes. Tony wakes up shortly before the Stark Expo with the reactor's palladium core still poisoning him. Stephen wakes up with undamaged hands and a flourishing medical career. Loki wakes up in Asgard one day before Thor's coronation.

[ Yet another take on that time travel fic with lots of worldbuilding, hand-wavey comic book science, political intrigue, inventing, nerding out, and a broken Tony trying to fix a broken world - but this time he's not alone. ]

Summary

Originally was written as the opening of a Steam review for Shadows Of Doubt, to try to capture the story the game creates in your mind as you play it (while acknowledging some of the jank of the game in a tongue-in-cheek way), by retelling a story about near the end of my first playthrough. Turns out there's not enough characters in the reviews to have a snippet of fanfic AND a good detailed review so I had to cut it, but it felt like a shame to waste it, even if it's just a quickly written little snippet, so...here it is instead!
Anyway, check out Shadows Of Doubt, it's in early access and definitely still has some work to be done but it's still amazing and there's nothing else quite like it.

He grasped at the icey hands of death, gasping out a jumbled command as liquid freeze struck between the blood in his veins, enough to seize him in body and mind if he hadn’t been familiar with the feeling. His voice sounded crackly and distorted even to his own ears as his limbs warmed slightly. His vision brightened exponentially when his pupils dilated to keep up with the changes, bringing his mind back to the present.
Additionally, colors bloomed in his mind’s eye, swimming in his head and drumming with the beats of hearts. He grimaced sharply, chewing at his bottom lip with pointed teeth. Walking leisurely, he approached the window in the far wall of his room before gripping the sill with cold, purgatory hands and lifting the glass pane up and over the one behind it. The colors shifted in the outskirts of his thoughts, forcing the development of a headache, an experience that he wasn’t too unused to. He sucked in a soft breath and took the first leap of faith into what would turn out a very, very interesting...ride, some would say.
