A shrill cry tears from Mike’s throat as he finds himself flailing through the open sky. A sharp crack of lightning shutters in the distance. Will's limp corpse contorts, dropping faster than he can. He’s screaming, unimaginable terror ripping through his body. He writhes, reaching for Will, crying the boy's name.

He’s falling, plummeting through a destabilized upside down and there's nothing he can do to stop it. He’s going to die.

Mike reaches out, eyes squeezed close. He tears the watch from Will's wrist, seconds before colliding with the Exotic Matter.

    .

    Summary

Tommy had lived and died as Theseus, Icarus, Orpheus and Sisyphus. But all he wanted to be was free.

In which Tommy Soot, originally born in 1509, is cursed to be reborn, to never reach adulthood unless he figured out the Greek myth of his lifetime. He had one rule of not allowing himself to get attached to people but he would have never guessed that a foster family of the creator of Minecraft, an anime stan and a Soundcloud musician would break that rule.

“You’re going to go back to L’manburg. You’ve grown so much in the years of exile, I think it’s time”

    “Dream-”

“Quiet, Tommy. You know you’re not to talk until I finish what I have to say.”

Tommy grit his teeth and shut his mouth. He should have known better by now, he really should have.

“As I was saying,” Dream continued, “It will only be for a week or two. It’s not as big of a deal as you’re making it out to be. All you’re going to do is tag along with them on their little adventure and report back all important information to me.”
