Unable to wait longer, Xie Lian tries to escape his husband's arms discreetly, but the hold he created himself is strong, showing no intention of ever letting go. He whines, frustrated, then chuckles. This is getting ridiculous. "San Lang, are you pretending to be asleep?" He groans, staring at Hua Cheng's face, waiting for the tiniest sign of consciousness. Nothing comes.
_Or; in the morning of his first birthday with Hua Cheng, Xie Lian remembers how the last one went while cuddling in bed with the mostly asleep ghost king, impatiently trying to wake him up.

Summary
They both look back, but on an explosion's noise, the floor quickly drops under their feet. "What the-" He can hear Xie Lian exclaims in his arms, but the noise make it useless to try to communicate.
Luckily, it's over in a few seconds, and a small trapdoor opens on a wall next to them, close to the floor. They look at each other. "Gege, is it supposed to do that?" Hua Cheng asks, perplexed as to why the people in charge of this house are trying to kill their guests. This wouldn't be.. A real haunted house, right?
"I guess? Probably? Let me just-" Xie Lian starts to lean in the trapdoor's direction to take a look, which is not happening because Hua Cheng stops him right away.
"I will look first." He says.
"But-"
"It's my birthday, I get to see the creepy things first."__
Or; Xie Lian, Shi Qingxuan and He Xuan take Hua Cheng on a birthday trip to a haunted house in a fair full of commoners. Chaos ensue.

Summary
Xie Lian imagines Shi Qingxuan and He Xuan doing their intro like they always do, Shi Qingxuan talking with excitement and He Xuan pretending to be bored. Shi Qingxuan would mention the show was born from his own experience at being catfished, and he would look fondly at He Xuan, waiting for a reaction that never comes. But Shi Qingxuan never mind that, he talks and moves enough for the both of them.
Then, they would pretend they just receive an email and read Xie Lian's letter.Hi Shi Qingxuan and He Xuan,
My name is Xie Lian. My friends Feng Xin and Mu Qing convinced me to contact you about my boyfriend, San Lang. He's talented, caring, amazing, and really everything I ever wished for. Except he's 6h away from me and I never saw him in real life.__
Or.. Xie Lian just wants to see his online boyfriend in real life but his friends think San Lang is a liar playing with him. So he decides to find out the truth on TV.

Feeling a sudden chill on his right foot, Xie Lian looked down and stared at it for a few seconds, dumbfounded. He "ah"-ed, unable to understand right away why his foot was bare. Did that thing just steal his sock?!
Standing up, Xie Lian looked in the direction in which the creature disappeared. He could still see its shape, but barely. Taking an in-the-moment decision, Xie Lian rushed after it.
___Or, Xie Lian just wants to go back home to his husband when he's unexpectedly attacked by one of Ghost City's residents.

He walks along the road, checking in every shop window if the guy is still following him. When he arrives at the dead end where his building is, he's almost disappointed. Until the guy follows in. Lance can't help but turn around.
"Are you going to murder me?"
And maybe he is. Lance doesn't know anything about the guy after all. Maybe he messed with the wrong guy and is about to pay the price. But he seriously doubt it. He saw the way the guy looked at the kittens, he couldn't be a psychopath.
