rui just giggles again, dropping both his eyebrows and cupping his mouth so as to make less noise. “are you saying you’d like us to hide under the small table?”
tsukasa pauses, but only for a second before he rushes a sentence out as soon as he hears the footsteps getting louder. “yes, hurry!”
somehow, rui manages to keep a straight face. his palms are sweating as he watches tsukasa practically fly under the card table, pretending to be still within seconds in the room that wasn’t even assigned to him. he contemplates making a run for a better hiding spot instead, like in one of the futons sprawled across the floor, but the hand on the door handle tells him otherwise.
a request like that is making him bolder than he should be, the thought echoes in rui head. he couldn’t possibly say no to him.
