The receiver will give their active phone number, then it will be put on the fliers. The callers will pick a number from the flier, and then once they get one they can dial the phone number and for the owner to answer.

The boy's eyebrows furrow, but he doesn’t seem all too deterred by the language barrier. Instead, he hands Shane a piece of pink chalk. He points to the drawing he’s been working on, saying something in that funny language again

Summary
Shane wrote in the car. He wrote on the couch of Ilya’s house in Ottawa and his own apartment in Montreal. Ilya often woke up to find him in bed with a pen in his hand, scribbling.
It wasn’t until they got to the cottage that Shane forgot to put one away, or throw it out, whatever he did with them when he’d used all the available space. Ilya found one on the kitchen table, a well-worn, lined bit of paper with deep creases just lying there as he was trying to clean up. He hesitated for just a second. If Shane wanted him to see them, wouldn’t he have said something by now? But also, Ilya was beginning to feel jealous of these papers, for knowing things about Shane that he didn’t.
Ilya unfolded it, holding it delicately between his fingertips. I want to be able to pick out produce at the grocery store, it read. I want to go for a run on the beach. I want to schedule our dentist’s appointments at the same time because it’s easier. I want to have a picture of him in my wallet. I want to kiss him at the farmer’s market in front of the stand with all the blueberries when he insists we get some because I like them.
(ilya wants to know what shane is writing down on his little notepad... obviously it is love)

“Oh my god,” Shane shrieked, the sound too loud for the space. “Oh my GOD,” Shane repeated, heart thrumming in his chest just like before.
This was a sick, cosmic fucking joke. How hadn’t Shane put two and two together before? His memory and pattern recognition were what made him so good at his job, his ability to remember the small details others tend to over look is what made him recoil into himself because others didn’t remember minute particulars, others certainly didn’t voice them and make others uncomfortable.
Shane couldn’t believe it. How had he been so fucking blind? So fucking obtuse all these months with the back and forth?
Rose’s comment weeks ago came front and center into his mind.
“He’s really getting under your skin, isn’t he?”
Shane wanted to fucking die.

During their annual two weeks at the cottage, Shane and Ilya both fall ill (and claim the other is responsible for it) resulting in two days of coughing and chugging electrolytes while neither of them admit how bad they feel. Even though he attempts to hide it, Yuna can hear her son coughing over the phone and decides to go check on him during his yearly 'silent retreat', entirely unaware that he had company. She swallowed harshly, stepping closer to the bed. Her son was tucked against Ilya, face buried against his neck as a source of warmth and comfort. “Shane...” she whispered, shaking him gently. “Shane.”
He didn’t stir, breaths steady as he slept like a rock. Her eyebrows knitted together, gaze shifting to Ilya, who had his jaw resting on top of Shane’s head, one of his hands under his shirt to feel his skin against his palm.

And the champagne in his blood, the looseness it brought to his shoulders, the ease it granted his brain made it so he could merely sniff in the extra moisture in his nose, blink away the wetness in his eyes, and look up at Rozanov like they were normal, like nothing else had been said. “Why would God take a call from you, Rozanov?” he had said, voice small but brave.
Rozanov had finally grinned, had let Shane see his beautiful teeth. Shane had wanted to be bit, in that moment, all over. “He knows me,” had been his response.
Shane had sniffed again, had looked down at Rozanov’s shoes, how one of them was gently stepping onto Shane’s foot. An anchor. “God’s not gonna take a call from you.”
“Hm. Why?”
His chest had felt warm. “Because you’re evil.”

When Rozanov gets to his apartment an hour later, Shane doesn’t say anything at all, just throws himself at Rozanov desperately, stumbling forwards over Rozanov’s legs and tangling his hands in golden curls. Rozanov chuckles a little into the kiss, murmurs something low in Russian, and then responds enthusiastically, lifting Shane off his feet. For a few blissful minutes, Shane forgets everything except Rozanov and the heat between them. Then the sex is over, and Rozanov rolls off of him.
Shane is lying on his back, staring at the ceiling, feeling the sweat dry on his face. He keeps telling himself not to panic. Like that’s going to help.
“Fuck, Hollander,” says Rozanov, and Shane hears him, distantly. “Was good. You want to destroy me twice in one night, huh?”
It must have been good for Rozanov, too, then. He doesn’t usually joke about losing games. Shane feels a stab of resentment that he’s enjoying himself, when Shane is so afraid.
