Summary
Most of the newsies liked October. It wasn’t cold nor warm; the start of the temperatures down hill climb. Summer stinks and winters freezing which, if you were to ask any of the group to rank the seasons, always left them in the last places.

The strikes over! The refuge has been closed! Crutchie’s back! Except he’s not himself and slowly is deteriorating.

Summary
The year was 2099. Ten years ago, crime rates had gone through the roof, to the point where nobody was safe- even in their own homes. That was, until one by one, the children of the criminals started getting captured. The villains, fearing for their children’s safety, disappeared. The children, however, had gotten caught by government agents, locked in tiny white cells hidden underground. Scientists did experiments on them, gave them powers and trained them to be stronger than humans. The thing was, these experiments usually came with painful side effects. Finally though, after ten years, a small band of rebels has teamed together to break out the children who had been locked away like animals.

Summary
Mickey wasn’t ever expecting to see him again. Not after Mickey’s farce of a wedding to a Russian hooker, after Mickey told him to leave and never come back. Mickey was scared, he knows that intimately now just how scared he was about how he felt about Ian but even now he wishes he ran away with him when he asked. At least they would’ve had each other. Ian was the first home that Mickey knew so it’s no surprise that Mickey, in a brilliant show of self-destruction, broke Ian’s heart and made him cry.

Where Mickey ends their relationship at the wedding and Ian decides to channel his heartbreak into West Point and the army. This is just an idea that came to my mind like an hour ago and I had to write it. Basic premise is that Ian went to the army legally and married Mandy to take care of her, they live a happy life and shit because they deserve it. They go to Terry's funeral (not sure if there would actually be a funeral but it's an important plot point dude to let me have it, this is my fan fic so sod you) and Mandy tells Mickey to buck up and stop being a coward.
Basically this is four thousand words of Angsty Mickey, Soft Mandy and Caretaker Ian.

Summary
"I hereby declare that Charles Morris has served his 90 days and has been successfully rehabilitated.”
The boys win the strike and everything goes back to normal. The prices are down, the striking has stopped, and the threat of The Refuge is still looming over them. And Charles Morris has been missing for 30 more days than they were told he’d be serving.

Since this fic has remained unedited for over a year, I thought I should post the rest of what I had already written. I unfortunately doubt I will add anything more and so I apologise for the incomplete story, although it is more of a character study than a plot driven narrative so there won’t be any cliffhangers. Hope you enjoy!
