An IQ of 172, a PhD in psychology, and a Master's Degree in forensic psychology have all led Florence Jones to this opportunity - an unpaid internship. Everyone's got to start small... or, at least, she has to start small (someone like Dr Spencer Reid certainly doesn't). She refuses to let an inconvenience like this stop her from achieving her dream, though. She will become a profiler, and there's absolutely nothing that'll stop her.

“Right…” he has a stupid smirk on his face; it’s almost endearing. She wouldn’t even really call it a smirk, more like a strange smile. “Can I assist you to the clinic, maybe?”
“I don’t need a clinic,” she insists, trying to hide her wincing expression from him by turning her head enough for her stereotypical cowboy hat to block his view. “A long way to walk with this leg, too.”
He sighs and thinks for a moment, “Listen, we have medical supplies back at the farm. Can I… carry you there?”
Kim struggles to bite back a laugh at how nervous he seems to ask that, “Not like I can walk there myself, farmboy.”

Spencer Reid is mourning the loss of his girlfriend, Maeve Donovan. He visits her grave as often as possible but he knows he needs something else in his life — this is why he's trying to solve a mystery puzzle he first spotted in a newspaper. He watches the video of that trenchcoat-wearing man saying something about angels having a box almost as much as he thinks about Maeve.

Connor had long ago learned how to listen to children. Not in the distracted, indulgent way adults often did, nodding absently through half-heard stories, but with genuine patience, as though every winding thought and awkwardly formed sentence carried some hidden significance.
It was one of the few things that came naturally to him. Perhaps because no one had ever really listened to him in quite the same way.
Kendall, especially, seemed to sense that.
Or, Logan teaches his children that fear keeps them close; Connor tries, however briefly, to teach them something kinder.

Or, the invisible clock that ticked down in every Roy child’s head. You fix it before Dad finds out. You clean it up, you bury it, you patch it with your bare hands and swear you’re fine through bloody knuckles and crooked smiles, because once Dad knew, it was over.
