"No, this." Mydei says and makes some gesture between them, some hourglass of time taken and given and taken again, of warm feelings and softening looks... some gesture that means the things his body aches for around Phainon when he has taught it to want nothing.
Phainon pulling away completely to get a better look at him is (after his home and his family, his people and his pride) the new worst thing that has ever happened to him, except maybe that cursed wine.

Tape Recording 326: Atsumu and Osamu, 2010
This video clip is the longest of all of them, and is the last video taken in a while.
The twins have won a round of volleyball for the spring tournament, the last tournament of their junior high careers. Atsumu does a quick set to Osamu, and Osamu slams it down, giving their team the final point. Something clicks for the two of them in regards to volleyball in teamwork, and from the way they yell at each other, they know it.
The team jumps on them, embracing them, overcome with joy. They are not champions yet, but there’s something about the two twins clicking together that brings them all together. Osamu says something to Atsumu that the camera cannot pick up. Atsumu adopts a comically offended expression and punches Osamu in the shoulder, but despite it all, they’re both laughing.
The video is titled: Volleyball Twins (or: fights, installment 260.5.)
OR: Eight years later, Miya Atsumu grapples with the feeling of his old team members giving up volleyball: as told through old tape recordings, a couple of very difficult conversations, and maybe a tiny bit of a need for memories.

Found he paid more attention to the way he held a pencil, loose and careful as he tapped it against the book than he did the chemistry question Akaashi had been kind enough to explain. The guilt is easy to dismiss when Akaashi snorts after the third time he had to repeat it, more amused than upset.

That should have been laughed off. Sober Tetsurou had control over his competitive streak. He was an adult, he thought through challenges logically and no longer threw himself into ramen-eating contests that he knew would make him sick. Unfortunately, Sober Tetsurou was nowhere to be found, so Drunk Tetsurou just gave Daishou his widest shit-eating grin.

Daishou Suguru and Mika Yamaka are getting married.
Tetsurou overestimates his ability to find a date before the wedding arrives. So, he goes to Yaku for help.

He wondered if anything else mattered. The air and Kuroo, Kuroo and he, Kuroo and the land to conquer.
"But seriously, if you were to go back, what would you do different?"
"A philosophical, hypothetical question from Yaku?" Kuroo said, incredulous. "Should I be concerned?" He flung a long arm into the backseat, mock searching at a languished pace. His fingers brushed off against Yaku's bloodstained hammer. “I think I have a thermometer somewhere -“
