Lan Xichen just wanted to clarify, to remind Jiang Cheng of something.
"Old enough to be a pervert," Jin Ling says, effectively breaking the fragile silence and the too loud ringing in Lan Xichen's ears.
(Or: Lan Xichen is determined to be Jiang Cheng's matchmaker, because he believes others have failed him. Only he finds himself struggling with unexplainable possessiveness.)
