Well. Clearly there was only one thing to be done, if he didn’t want to watch all of his worst traits endlessly parade in front of him, like a warped sort of fashion show, while dissolving into bitterness and/or becoming an actual robot (he had read a statement on the subject already and, while he didn’t think it was a true one; he didn’t quite rule out the possibility).
Jon was going to need to get a cat.

“If you keep looking at me like that, I might have to start charging,” Viktor jokes as he comes closer, his voice husky around accented syllables. “My name’s Viktor. You should buy me a drink instead of staring from afar.”
Jayce’s grip tightens around his glass. He knows Viktor doesn't know him — not like this: ten years older and worn down by loss. Still, the reminder that this isn't his partner hurts. Shaking off the pain, he downs his glass in one go and puts it down, before grabbing Viktor by the waist with both hands.
If this is all that he can get from this Viktor, then fine. He'll be the handsome, older stranger in his bed. Anything to hold him close.

Summary
Danny's grandmother is diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and his family decides to not tell her about it because of reasons. Fair enough they want the whole family to be able to say goodbye, only to get them together they need either a wedding or a funeral. As it happens Danny is the only one that fits the bill for a quick fix wedding. Steve is all too happy to go along with the scheme, adding some touches of his own and hoping to win Danny over.
