Summary
Yusuke Kitagawa is an aspiring artist, one who holds and denies his artwork the public's eye. Plagued by poverty, he resides with his foster father - Madarame, a man succumbing further and further to the illness of senior age. The two struggle to secure food upon their plates and a decaying roof over their heads until a single letter disarrays the course of their lives - one which details an opportunity to earn a fortune in exchange for a portrait. Yet in spite of the occasions' potential saviour, Yusuke does not sell nor exhibit his artwork, so how could such a proposal find its way into his ill at ease grasp...?
