so I had to write something for school
which didn't even have to be a page long, according to my teacher
but guess what?
I wrote a little over 15 pages
so then I decided to post this on here bc why not
basic plot:Two children discover a dark secret about the place they live in. They leave the safe haven in search of answers-both on what's going on and how to stop it.
there'd be swearing but as you know, this was written for school
if I happen to write a sequel to this (which will just be another chapter here), there will be swearing and a bit more with Li and Ash since it won't be for school and I'll have more freedom to write more of what I want to

okay the title does not fit but I couldn't think of a title so the title is from the song "seasonal depression" by mxmtoon
this originated while I was in the shower and had the idea that "hey, Isogai would be the person to try and get to know and check up on his classmates/friends"
and then I came up with a Chiba headcanon to later be revealed
I also love Chiba and thinks he needs more content for him and yeah
so basically this is focused on Chiba and Isogai interactions, but there will be other characters in at some point. I haven't gotten that far yet okay-
I'm horrible at summaries give me a break

The bench itself tells a different story, one of five little shits who have spent far too much time together to be anything other than friends with a pastime of vicious mockery and a penchant for watching bad films.

Tadashi gave a tentative smile. “It’s nice to meet you both.” He turned to the remaining player, who was still watching the match intently. As Tadashi opened his mouth to introduce himself, the boy spoke.
“If Tanaka spent half as much time on his serves as he did on maintaining his hair and ‘threatening aura,’ he might be able to aim a serve literally anywhere else than right at the libero. But no, Ryuu, by all means, tell me more about your razor settings and the time you spend running through dirt for your aesthetic.”

Summary
Zenitsu had always known that love hurts. A lot. Feeling a sense of worthlessness isn't helping his case either, but this had always happened to him. Being rejected is all he's ever had gotten as a response and now that someone loves him, his thoughts came back to haunt him. His insecurity has always been there, but it feels like it doubled.
Every time he sees how sad Zenitsu is, his heart hurts, it hurts to see the love of his life in pain. Tanjirou thinks he's the problem since Zenitsu had been way happier before they were together. Even if it hurts too much to let Zenitsu go, he's willing to do, if it makes the blonde happy. This made him realize that even if love makes you be happy, it can make you sad. It just hurts so much. Why does love hurt?
Both boys have their doubts, but it'll all work out in the end.
