Jake shook his head in confusion, the wider implications of that fact too large and horrifying for him to wrap his allegedly-broken brain around. He waited for Javy to laugh, to start bragging about successfully landing such a bad joke, before explaining what was really going on. Only, the laughter never came.
“It can’t be.”
“It is.”
Though Javy’s expression stayed sympathetic, something in it seemed to harden all of a sudden. Jake was left with the distinct impression that he hadn’t yet gotten to the worst part.
“And, um,” Javy took a breath, “Bradley’s your husband, Jake. You guys have been married nearly five years.”

With multiple number one best sellers and a movie in the works, Jake's writing career is at the top of the game. Too bad he's got a massive case of writers block. At least until he meets Bradley Bradshaw and the two of them fall into a casual relationship that could've been ripped straight from one of Jake's books and sparks more than just Jake's writing.

Kevin stared at his hand for a beat, then took it in his own, “Kevin.”
James’ hands were soft and warm, and Kevin felt something strange and pleasant tingling in his palms where their skin met. He realised he had held on too long and quickly let go, feeling heat flood his cheeks in embarrassment.
Luckily, this James didn’t seem to notice, or he didn’t care. “What brings you here at this time of the night?”
“Couldn’t sleep,” Kevin said, the ridiculousness of it washing over him. He had never had this problem before.
