Summary
The idea of a ghost freaked the hell out of him. It was something he didn’t have the ability to kill, and he certainly didn’t have the knowledge to, what, exorcize it? Christ, supposing that ghosts were real and could attack you, it was probably Wolfwood’s worst nightmare; he imagined all of the targets he killed in his bloody past following him around and waiting for a chance to get revenge.
But ghosts weren’t real.
Ghosts were just in stories that he’d tell to scare Livio shitless when they were kids. Nothing more than that. Vash didn’t need to know how he felt about them.

Two years after what happened in July, Wolfwood and Vash stumble upon an out of place mysteriously abandoned mansion with a haunting past in a springtime oasis.

Vash had become Wolfwood's closest, and only, friend. He trusted him with every ounce of his being; if it were a mistake to turn his back to Vash, then it’d be divine simply to die by his hand. With every drag of a worn out cigarette, he found himself indulging in “what-ifs.” Maybe it’s why he smoked so damn much.
Wolfwood hated how vulnerable “what-ifs” made him–-they always took up the majority of his attention.

Summary
When Vash wins two tickets for a swanky Sand Steamer cruise, there's only one person he ever even seriously considers inviting along: Wolfwood. It sounds nice, a whole week of quality time together, no running, no distractions—just two guys, a luxury ship, and a chance to relax. Unfortunately, those 'lucky' tickets come with a catch.
Turns out, the tickets only cover the barest of necessities, and if they want any extras—including booze —they'll have to cough up some serious cash. Cash they do not have.
But hey, looks like the ship offers winners of their newlywed game an across the board upgrade, and it can't be that hard to pretend to be married for some extras. And even if they win, sharing a bed in a fancy honeymoon suite can't end that badly, right?
