The last thing Nightmare saw was the genuine fear on Dream's face, as he truly saw his brother. Not what he thought was the corruption, no, he saw Nightmare.
Yet, the realization was far too late. The Bad Sanses, what the Star Sanses thought terrorized the multiverse, were gone in a blink of an eye.
Trapped. Neutralized. Gone.
He cried tears of grief, that he did not deserve to cry.

Nosks are an intelligent species to a degree - as they're still rather feral in nature and incredibly territorial - and they have their own secret society in Deepnest. Given that they have proximity to the Pale King, it was inevitable for them to gain minds and sapience... but they still retain a hostile nature to them.
They morph and contort their bodies into makeshift lures, baiting unfortunate bugs into their traps and devouring them without a second thought. Before infection struck, they could even mimic voices.
Hunting is all that matters. Providing food is all that matters. Your territory is all that matters.One Nosk in particular, however, does not share in that sentiment.
While sure, attachments to others are unnecessary and strength is incredibly important in survival... why can't a Nosk be more than a ruthless animal? Why can't they gain honor outside of their kin? Why can't everyone know one Nosk's name?
Why can't a Nosk be a knight?Better yet... a knight of great renown?
