Fon doesn't get a lot of choices in this life (or at the end of his last one, for that matter); not if he wants to look out for the people he cares about. So he'll keep his head down and do what he has to. Probably. He's gotten pretty good at suppressing his temper but when you literally disintegrate things when you see red, its a process.

In order to do this though, they need to work together and in order keep meeting without raising any alarm bells, they do pretend relationship.

Only a lot more disbelieving.
It doesn't bother him too much. He can see why it's hard to believe when all he does is stumble through life and drop things and trip over his own two feet and find bees willing to attack him everywhere he goes and…well, the list goes on.
Point is, he wasn't always that way.
