September 1982
The war is over. Voldemort was defeated on October 31, 1981. Regulus Black discovered Voldemort’s horcruxes and informed the Order of the Phoenix, which destroyed them. When Voldemort arrived on Halloween to kill baby Harry, the Order was standing by, ready to kill him first.
Almost a year later, the Marauders and their friends are rebuilding their lives.

screaming and crying and throwing up in a good way, this is so lovely and beautiful and i think the pacing is excellent. ALSO SONG OF ACHILLES AND WOLFSTAR I MAY PASS. it is very very good, wonderfully written, there are really poetic or just well-phrased bits of writing, especially dialogue, lily's 'blob speech' and when remus spoke about wanting success without perpetuating a broken system when all systems of success are broken really stand out
L O V E D T H I S
ngl i did get a bit stressed during some fights but they love each other, all of them, and they all clearly had a more adult approach to conflict given that they're not 15 in this one, it was refreshing, it was lovely, really. also all the side characters were delightful, big fan of the tough love being actual tough love and not being insensitive dickheads. also loved loved loved that little bit at the premiere in the epilogue w/ rita and wolfstar, it was great
