    It was a lie, or an omission of the truth, but a necessary one. They could never let anyone know what actually happened in the dream, especially not each other.

    Or: Clark and Bruce dream of each other in a Black Mercy dream, and don't realize the other dreamed the exact same thing. Cue excessive pining.

    Bruce finds baby Jon-El in a pod that crash landed in his backyard. The Justice League warns him that Kryptonians are not to be messed with, that they're incredibly powerful, that they're conquerors. That little baby Jon may be a toddler, but so was a lion cub.

    Bruce doesn't care. A baby is a baby, and Jon is his baby now.

    The one thing he didn't count on, however, was the lion returning.

    Bruce has always been… unconventional. He wasn't given a very good hand in the first place, with everything he's gone through it's no wonder he's a bit different. Although sometimes it can sting, he's proud of the things he's done. If he changed anything, he wouldn't have his beautiful pups. And he would never have gotten the chance to truly meet his partner.

    He should have known better to let his guard down.

    OR: Bruce is living his best life completely blind sighted to the fact no one knows he's an Omega.
