Summary
The war between Earth and Krypton left both planets bleeding. In need of an end, Humanity and the Kryptonians agree to a peace, one to be sealed by a contract: a marriage contract to be precise.
On Earth, Batman volunteers to jump on the grenade before anyone else. He has to end this war and protect his children.
On Krypton, Kara-El volunteers as a peace offering. However, Kal-El has some objections to his baby cousin marrying a violent Earth general, so he suggests an alternate plan.
Ultimately, taking down General Zod and his war-mongering was always going to take the joint efforts of two men, who, in a another universe, are all but brothers, even if, in this one, they have every reason to be enemies. -

Summary
Through decades of genetic manipulation, Krypton has brought about their own doom. With new children coming out of the birthing matrix sickly, the only solution is to introduce new, strong healthy DNA into their gene pool. After searching the galaxy, they find that Earth has DNA that is compatible with theirs.
Kal-El is sent to earth to be the first to test this. To find a compatible mate and carry a child.
But things go awry when Kal bonds with an Earthling who wasn’t part of the carefully thought out plan.

Bruce Wayne was looking for an in to keep an eye on Earth’s strange new visitors, but he wasn’t expecting to end up this entangled with things.
Now he is bound to Kal-El, and he will have all the access he needs. Feelings are an inconvenience, something Bruce can not afford to mix with his investigation. But whether he wants them or not, once planted, seeds grow.

“We’ve had multiple instances of false surrender.” Bruce says. “Defeated Houses of Krypton claiming surrender documents are invalid or were never accepted by our forces.”
Kal looks over the documents. “You did not accept the zxugur-zrhymin,” he says.
“What?” Bruce asks.
“Zxuger-zrhymin. War-wife.” Kal says. “Or war-bride. War-prize- the nuances can’t be captured by English.” He doesn’t meet Bruce’s eyes. “To Kryptonians, genetics are everything. Each House guards its genetic codes, its Codex, to the death. To obtain the genetic codes of a House and incorporate them into your own without reciprocal return- that is conquest. That is surrender.”

It wasn't Hal Jordan who spoke, nor one of the other Lanterns. Instead, it was a man a little younger than Batman who appeared behind the Green Lanterns, dressed in a blue and red suit, with a cloak on which there was a pin to stop him from the characteristic S-shape.
The man's eyes were blue, not Bruce's icy color, but more like Dick's, warm, gentle, and when he smiled, he had a dimple on his left cheek. He moved confidently and calmly, like someone who is used to entering a room and being heard.
"With a look like his, it doesn't have to be difficult," he thought absently.

Overworked, without a real love life, and with Dick in full teenage rebellion, the last thing Bruce needs is to have to babysit the powerful alien the Lanterns have brought to the Watchtower.
But Kal El has his ways of breaking down all Bruce's barriers.

Sequel to "Artificial Scion"
Kon's spent some time living with his parents and he loves them. He graduated from being a Novice in the Guilds of Krypton and is now an official Guild member. But he never forgot about Red Robin and how the masked vigilante rescued him at Earth. Kon wants to return to Earth to meet Red Robin again.
He put in an application for a Wayne Enterprises work-study program for aliens wanting to learn more about Earth's technology. But at the last minute a change is made and Kon ends up working for Lexcorp instead.
Its not that bad. Metropolis is right next to Gotham. For a person who can fly the distance is negligible. He'll still find Red Robin. He just wishes he understood why Lex kept giving him preferential treatment and talking about legacy and heirs all the time. He just wants to find Red Robin!
