    Summary

A fortnight ago, Greg had a rather heated encounter with Mycroft Holmes – at the back of the man’s sleek car, like horny teenagers – after which the man made him an offer. A ‘personal arrangement’ he called it. He pressed Greg not to answer right away, to reflect – and then he disappeared for two weeks.

    Summary

Most people assumed that, given his abrasive work personality, Mycroft wanted to be the dominant partner in the bedroom. Or the entire opposite – that he wanted to be dominated in a manner he couldn’t indulge in elsewhere. He detested both presumptions with equal passion – he found hints of violence and coercion off-putting, if not distressing, and verbal abuse (the derogatory terms some of his would-be partners seemed to love) frankly a monumental turn-off. He craved gentle lovemaking with an equal partner; one who would coax him, caress him, tease him till he was ready to weep while whispering words of encouragement and adoration. A partner who would appreciate having his body canvassed in an equally tender but passionate manner in return.

    Summary

“My brother is the most dangerous man you’ll ever meet.” Sherlock’s words resonated in Lestrade’s head every time he thought of Mycroft Holmes. And Lestrade thought of the man more often than he cared to admit. Especially after his divorce, his fantasies had begun to take the shape of the enigmatic man more often than was wise. Yet, he found himself unable to redirect his imagination – he had always had a weakness for power. In his youth, it had been strong, muscular men capable of overpowering him physically. But Lestrade had later discovered that that thrill had been nothing compared to the attraction he felt towards the man in a bespoke suit. Mycroft held real power – and the thought of being at his mercy was at once terrifying and terribly arousing.

    Summary

Someone had really done a number on the poor man’s self-confidence, Greg thought to himself. Though Mycroft was extremely confident in professional settings (to the point of arrogance), his confidence in himself and his qualities as a person was sorely lacking. After discovering how an honest compliment could make the ice man blush, Greg vowed to verbalise all his sentiments regarding the man’s qualities (Mycroft deserved the praise). The man had been so charmingly embarrassed, but the embarrassment had not hidden the fact that he had also been pleased, rather than merely flustered. (Greg found the flustered look oddly adorable.)

    Summary

Mycroft is afraid that DI Gregory Lestrade might be falling into bitterness and depression. Hence, Mycroft must put aside his fears and mount a rescue operation that will hopefully bring back Lestrade's self-confidence - even at the cost of his own heart. But has the man of ice made an grave error of deduction - is the situation truly so dire as it seems?

Mycroft and Greg offer unsolicited advice to AO3 fanfiction writers on how to write better sex scenes while cuddling on a sofa. (Including gems like men are not women and you do need to shower first before I go near that.) Summary

Greg had not thought he would ever run into Mycroft Holmes again. Their lives were too different to intersect otherwise than accidentally, as they had once upon a time. Their affair had been almost unbearably sweet while it lasted (the sex had been fabulous), but, of course, it could not and did not last. Greg had come to acknowledge years later (a long way into his not-yet-failing marriage with Jen) that they had both been at fault. He had been too insecure about his working-class background, and Mycroft had been too high-handed and perhaps also insecure in his own way. Both too proud and too stubborn to apologise.

    Summary

He had often come to wonder why she loved him. It must have been Fate, for he could not find any compelling rational reason for it. His looks (pallid complexion, long nose, thin lips, receding hairline, softening middle) were surely not those who inspired violent feelings in attractive young ladies (save, perhaps, repulsion).

    Summary

There were a few traits Mycroft might have envied in his brother. Sherlock had gotten the sculpted looks, a talent for not being burdened by how he was perceived by others and a conveniently flexible conscience. Mycroft cared not, for he had something much better (in addition to his superior intellect): a soulbond, indicated by a delicate but unmistakable golden glint around his heart since his 15th birthday. The universe had bestowed him with a perfect match, someone who would cherish him no matter what. A person that he vowed to cherish in return.

It is truly a pity that Mycroft's fated turns out to be of a social standing so decidedly beneath his own.

    Summary

There are many reasons Mycroft envies his brother. His good looks – he is dark and sculpted, whereas Mycroft is ginger and rather heavyset. The utter disdain he harbours for the opinions of others, whereas Mycroft yearns for approval. The carefree way he drifts through life without a thought for the consequences of his actions – Mycroft’s weigh heavily on his conscience. But, most of all, Mycroft envies his brother’s soulbond.

    Summary

Someone has been peddling dangerous wares around London. Whilst it seems unlikely that the threat is real, Mycroft prefers not to take any chances. He has his operatives pull the seller, a young woman, off the streets and bring her into one of their warehouses for a private chat. Why does she seem so familiar? Who is she seeking to assassinate and why? And does she pose a danger to Mycroft?

    Summary

The elections were fast approaching, and it was time for Mycroft Holmes to take a personal look at the latest candidate dominating the opinion polls, in line to become the next Prime Minister. On the surface, the leading man seemed perfectly average, though serviceable: relatively attractive physically speaking, with moderate opinions, well spoken, but with little distinctive flair. His one remarkable point was his wife, who might have been responsible for no small share of his popularity. Overall, the candidate and his wife put on an excellent act: an adoring husband with a confident wife, but Mycroft is a hard man to fool. However, even he had not expected to like her quite so much – it was one thing to know that she was charming and another thing entirely to experience her warmth and charisma at first hand.

    Summary

Mycroft was tired of playing his brother's guardian. He had been tired of it many times before, but things had now truly reached a breaking point (certain days, he was almost ready to snap his umbrella in frustration). With the reliable Dr Watson no longer in the picture, Sherlock was particularly obnoxious, disorderly and a general hazard to himself, as well as to his immediate environment. There was only one solution: someone else needed to take the reins. That perfect someone: a female partner/companion for Sherlock. Women, after all, held the keys to unlock life’s challenges. (As an intelligent man, he could recognise that they were so much better at it than the average man.)

    Summary

It is a truth universally acknowledged that Mr Mycroft Holmes is the most dangerous man in London. Yet, one evening finds him engaged in a wholly uncharacteristic pursuit of a young lady in the hopes of advancing his own personal happiness. While Mycroft inadvertently channels his inner Mr Darcy (or perhaps even the dreaded Mr Collins), his “Elizabeth” is decidedly unimpressed. Wooing ladies is indeed difficult when you are the nigh omniscient and omnipotent shadow government. But, perhaps, they may eventually find a mutually beneficial arrangement.

    Summary

Mycroft Holmes and “Anthea” play a dangerous and sexy game, coming face to face in a duel of wits and deception, where nothing is quite as it seems. While everyone knows that Mycroft will come out on top, he might actually prefer an entirely different position. Will London be preserved? Will the French run out of letters? Why is Anthea not wearing any underwear? Should Mycroft try hot yoga? Who will finally see what wonders hide underneath the three-piece suit (TM)?

This is the story of the meeting of two pairs of intelligent grey eyes (hiding a smutty imagination), equally exasperated by the general lack of professional competence, a.k.a. how Mycroft discovered he might have danger and intelligence kinks (let's be frank, we all knew about the three-piece suit one already). Predictably, three-piece suits make an appearance but, alas, not the umbrella.

Note: Chapters 1-2 can be read as a short stand-alone piece (with very little plot).

    Summary

Mycroft Holmes and "Anthea" play a dangerous game, going face to face in a duel of intelligence and subversion, where nothing is quite as it seems. Plausible deniability shall be maintained, the structural integrity of London safeguarded, and Tchaikovsky's Iolanta returned to the Royal Opera House repertoire. The Great Game is once again afoot, but while Mycroft plays the long game, what will be Anthea's endgame strategy?
