Summary
Killua Zoldyck is finally allowed to experience a normal teenage life and attend a public high school, where he meets Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio. Together, they form a bond that feels like family.
But after graduation, life pulls Killua and Gon apart from their friends, and years of closeness are put to the test by a single argument.
A year passes and Killua receives a world-crumbling phone call: Gon has been in a serious car accident. Now, faced with the possibility of losing the person he loves most, Killua has to confront his guilt, grief, and desperate need to save Gon-- even if it means rewriting fate itself.

Killua and Gon meet a highschool orientation, get really close, fight, no contact, then it breaks when the Gon gets in a car accident and the hospital calls Killua from Gon's phone. Gon dies and so does Killua, stuck in a time loop trying to find a way to save his first love.

“No! He’s part of our group now!”
“Don’t kidnap him Chrollo, he’s supposed to be in 4/5!”
Gon pouted, packing up his things and holding Chrollo’s hand. Chrollo pulled away and wiped his hand clean onto his shirt. “Eugh kid why are your hands sticky?”
“I ate a cutie!”
He sighed and reluctantly took Gon’s tiny hand in his again.
Oh well, sticky hands came with the job.
