Again, Shion is not one who looks back into his past. Once something is done, he tends to forget and let it go pretty easily. No point in ruminating or drowning oneself in needless nostalgia. Life gets easier this way. And yet, he can’t help the rush of memories upon seeing these two men. A nagging, warm feeling swirls in his stomach as nostalgia hits.
“I know these two,” Shion states suddenly, eyes still on the two models. Ayano, who is just about to pout and sulk in response to being ignored earlier, suddenly perks up.
“Wait... no way. You know pro heroes Deku and Dynamight?”
“Well, I mean-“ Shion rubs the back of his head shiftily, “I used to. We went to school together. Elementary and middle school.”

This is hilarious in a kind of fucked up way. Both Harry and Draco were incredibly incredibly shit at talking about their feelings although for Harry, it’s probably because he’s a bit of a himbo here. Nevertheless, this story is written very well and all’s well end well anyway. Wish we could see more slightly older baby Jonny tho and how he handles his completely emotionally incompetent dads 😅

Stuck in an enchanted world faced with the realisation that no one will be able to find him, he logically decides to set out and complete the trials that await. Only, the place is covered in extinct Magical Beasts and all the instructions are written in incomprehensible Ancient Runes.
So, really, it’s a very good thing he managed to bring Draco Malfoy along to help.

I forgot how much I used to like this kind of Hunger Games-esque plot in my otps. There was a lot of hurt and comfort, whump (do people still use that word?) and suffering, but their love and devotion for each other at the end makes them all very much worth it. Very well written and amazing setting narrative. Not sure I would reread but definitely bookmarking for superb writing and story.

Amazing, amazing representation of autism in kids. On another side note, I wish I have my own supportive and accepting Harry-Draco and Narcissa-Lucius family growing up. I mean, my sister and I (we are both the only neurodivergent kids in the family) turn out pretty ok (I guess) as an adult because our parents do love us quite a lot, but they’re also asian. So like…their idea oh how to support ND kids are to just put it aside and distract us from it.
