The room instantly silenced, and Shouto sinkingly realized that he was now the sole focus of the room’s attention. Kaminari nervously giggled. Beside him, Kirishima stared, mouth open. Ashido’s wide eyes flickered excitedly between Shouto, Midoriya, and strangely, Bakugou. And Bakugou? Bakugou looked as if someone had slapped him. He blinked suddenly, pale brows drawing together in a deep furrow.
“Wh-wh-what?!” Midoriya stuttered, and because Shouto was still looking in Bakugou’s direction, he saw when Bakugou’s hand clenched, snapping the pencil he’d been holding in two.
“Whaaa!” Hakagure said. “Todoroki likes Midoriya?!” She sounded equal parts scandalized and delighted.
Shouto’s spine snapped straight, because of course he’d messed this up. Turning swiftly to Midoriya, Shouto hurried to correct the confusion. “Sorry. I wasn’t clear. I would like you to come to dinner as my pretend date."
Or, the one where Shouto fake dates each of his classmates and Bakugou gets progressively more jealous.
