“Could I get a name for the order?” Marlene asked.
“Serious,” the man replied. “Like the star,” he clarified, and Remus mentally scratched out 'Serious' and rewrote 'Sirius' in his head.
“The… star?” Marlene asked, her pen hovering over the cup as she hesitated.
“S-I-R-I-U-S,” Remus said. He stocked croissants into the display case, not looking up. “The Dog Star,” he added, “brightest star in the sky, actually. Visible from both hemispheres.” When he looked over, the man– Sirius– seemed surprised, his eyebrows raised as Remus spoke, and when Remus finished, he blinked a few times before smiling lopsidedly.
“Er– yeah,” he breathed a laugh. “That.” There was a baby on his hip. Somehow, it had taken Remus a second glance to notice that.

After James and Lily died, Sirius Black's therapist told him not to date for a year. And that's just as well. He's got a 13-month-old baby now and quite enough to deal with, thanks. But the nosy neighbors in his building keep trying to set him up and won't take no for an answer. Enter Remus Lupin, another single dad who pretends to be Sirius's boyfriend, just to get the old lady brigade off his back and nothing more. Nothing more at all.

Sirius’s breath hitched as Remus brought a hand to their hair and tugged lightly, pulling them out of hiding as he took in the pretty pink blush on their cheeks, the wide, dark set of their eyes and the spit-slick shine of their lips. Remus wanted to eat them. Wanted to swallow them whole.
He settled for bringing two fingers to their lips, something deep in his chest going hot with the way they immediately opened for him, sucked them into their mouth and swirled their tongue slowly, hot and wet and perfect, and started to roll their hips down into him.
“You,” Remus started, tutting and shaking his head at the soft graze of teeth against his fingers, “are trying to kill me.”

When Remus’ Gran dies and leaves him her family home in Bristol, he moves down south from Aberdeen in an effort to run from painful memories and feel closer to her in the wake of her passing. What he doesn’t expect is his five year old neighbour, a boisterous, friendly boy with green eyes and thick glasses. Nor does he expect the boys guardian, a handsome posh southerner who manages to thoroughly worm his way into Remus’ life.
A story of loss, and new beginnings, and the importance of friendship and a good pint.
