“Have you considered the possibility that Neil has chosen you, but believes you have not chosen him?” Renee says. "Have you ever explicitly told him what you want?”
“Neil knows what I want,” Andrew snaps. This is not Andrew’s fault.
“How do you know?”
Because Neil always knows. He is as fluent in Andrew’s micro-expressions as he is in German and French. He knows which head tilts mean “go on” and which ones mean “shut up.” Without ever asking, he learned what it meant to see Andrew wearing double layers of long sleeves, or taking multiple showers in a day, and learned to hand Andrew the car keys.
That has always been the most terrifying thing about Neil — his patience to wait, watch, listen, learn. The prospect that if Neil were given enough time, there would be no part of Andrew that was just Andrew’s anymore.
“He has to know,” Andrew says.
“Does he?” Renee says. “Have you ever known Neil to assume that he is wanted?”
Five times Neil tells someone that he and Andrew aren’t dating, and one time Andrew uses his words to set the record straight.

Summary

Simon thrusts a finger at Baz in triumph. It’s unimpressive, from so many meters away. "So you could plot something!"
"So I could have some peace," Baz hisses.
Simon rolls his eyes. "You'd have no idea what to do with yourself."
The curl of Baz’s lip is achingly slow. "I'd love to find out," he drawls.It's a snow day at Watford! Simon is thrilled and wants to play and explore. Baz is cold and hungry and needs to hunt. When their paths cross in the Wavering Wood, the enchanting winter wonderland sets the perfect atmosphere for flirting—until a goblin attack slices through their moment.

Derek walked right into a cardboard cutout of a middle-aged man with skin almost as pale as Will but with dark brown hair and a beard to match. It almost toppled over with Derek following behind, but he caught himself and the cutout with minimal flailing. “Shit,” he cursed under his breath.
“Nursey?”
He was not prepared for the sight in front of him once he spun around.
First, Derek had to get up at seven in the morning, then he drove for seven hours, with half an hour breaks every three hours. He was tired, he was hungry, and now this.
Or: the one in which Derek Nurse drives up to Maine to visit Dex, Dex turns out to be full of surprises, and Chowder is in the prime spot to watch his best friends pine for each other in real time.

Dex was supposed to have a fancy job in some city upon graduation, but his plans changed once his uncle died and left the family home in Maine to him. Without immediate obligations of their own, Nursey, Chowder and Farmer follow Dex up there to help him clear it out and clean it up.
