Summary
Sophie thought she moved to Maple Brook for peace, for lemon bars and perfect crown molding and a life edited into neat boxes. Then she saw the emerald ring. Then she saw Margo Banks.
What begins with a photograph of magnolia blossoms turns into bourbon nights at Lake Delilah, stolen kisses in hallways, and a love that feels equal parts salvation and ruin. Obsession here isn’t frantic—it’s patient, deliberate, and waiting to devour.
But when honesty is the most dangerous thing in town, Sophie has to decide what version of herself she’s willing to keep, and what she’s willing to risk burning for Margo’s smile.
It’s not perfect. It’s honest.

Summary
A vaguely academic examination of the phenomena behind fandom shipping and why certain non-canon ships become exceedingly popular, far overshadowing the popularity of canon ships. This essay touches on common mistakes writers make with female characters and romantic subplots, and suggests a explanation for the enduring popularity of so many m/m ships which have no chance at all of becoming canon. Examples are drawn from Avatar the Last Air Bender, Voltron Legendary Defender (god help me), and My Hero Academia.

Summary
“I can explain,” she rushes out, even though she has actually no idea how to explain.
“Yeah, can you explain why I found this out from a Twitter thread instead of from you?” Bobby says. He grabs his phone and pulls up a web page, then slides the phone over to Rumi.
She freezes.
It’s not some tell-all about her secret demon identity.
She looks down at the photo, taken by some resourceful paparazzo, of Jinu waving goodbye as he slips out the back of her condo building. In the background, blurry but still obviously her, is Rumi.

Five times people assumed Rumi and Jinu are together (and one other time entirely)

Katara nods, and Zuko has to scrunch up his nose to keep from sneezing as loose strands of hair tickle him. “I’m glad you’re here.”
“I am too.”
“Mornings are lonely.”
Without his permission, his half-asleep mouth runs away from him. “I’m always lonely.”~~
Katara and Zuko meet at a party.
