Though it made sense in a cold, rational way, such a logical and disinterested proposal for Kaveh to willingly sacrifice his heart for nothing more than mora cut deep into his chest. Alhaitham’s refusal to answer any questions, and his apparent talent for speaking a dead language, makes him all the more interesting…and infuriating. Kaveh’s curiosity about what secrets Alhaitham is hiding might just be the end of him.
After all, curiosity is often the most dangerous thing in this land.
