    Summary

The first scarf Izuku completes is green. The stitches are definitely too tight in some places and too loose in others — there’s a little hole, too, about a third of the way through, where he’d lost a couple of stitches and spent half an hour on the internet trying to find a solution for it that wasn’t ‘give up and start over’ — but overall, it’s functional.

The yarn feels softer all knitted up, and Izuku cries a little when he painstakingly follows the instructions to tie off the last row and finish up.

The green feels a little less bright like this, but it’s still a very nice color. Kaa-san is going to love it.

:: To help with his hands, Inko suggests Izuku try knitting.

“About that… does the hospital have a copy machine?” Hitoshi chooses that moment to peak over Shouta’s shoulder, undoubtedly giving Tsukauchi a full view of his bloodied face. Unintentionally, he also gives Shouta the perfect opportunity to watch shock, understanding, and sheer resignation flash through the detective’s eyes.

“You’re not telling me that you found another child on the way to the hospital with the first one,” Tsukauchi says.

“I did not find another child on the way to the hospital with the first one,” Shouta lies.

Tommy lurches for his inventory, drops a wooden pickaxe in a spray of sludge, and smacks his freed hand against tree bark. "Fuck, shit, you gelatinous bitch, get off of me, unhand me with your goop--"

He's never heard of slimes eating people. What the hell, was he just that tempting a target, weak enough that a cube that'd turned into legs decided he was a good meal? Is he that much of a pussy now?

Well, tough shit for the slime. Tommy won't go down that easy.

    Summary

“Uh, Techno?” Phil asked behind him. His voice sounded higher than usual, a bit worried, and still amused. “Don’t remember things lookin’ like this last time I was here.”

Techno spun around to face the rest of his party. Ranboo was still a head higher than anyone else in the group, but he was significantly shorter than the players around them. Niki had her hair in pigtails and one of her front teeth was missing. Phil’s wings, tucked behind his back, were fuzzy. None of them had any of the weapons or armour they should, and they looked like they were about eight years old at max.

And Techno could see eye-to-eye with his friends, which really did seem to imply he was also a child.

“Absolutely not,” Techno said, turning and marching across the courtyard. He had to push his way between adults in armour. “I’m not dealin’ with this.”

Or: Techno takes the Syndicate to visit Sky Block and disaster strikes. At the height of the Potato War. He feels great about this.

    Summary

Philza: Transatlantic, the Corvarians, all those motherfuckers who couldn’t handle us having a stronghold and good mines, they cut us off from everything in the darkest time of the year. They trapped us in the cold, in eternal night, because they figured if we starved to death, Port-aux-Francais would give them whatever deals they wanted, and they didn’t care who they were fucking killing.

We were peaceful, before the embargo. We just wanted trade deals, we collaborated with anyone who’d help us build our railroads. We never struck the first blow. After the embargo– after that winter– we figured that wasn’t gonna work.

Interviewer: So you adopted some new technologies.

Philza: Yeah, we had innovations in our manufacturing, our greenhouses, our fucking sanitation– but that’s not what you’re talking about, right? Forget the emperor shit. If you’re interviewing me about this, you don’t want to hear about the greenhouses.

You want to hear about the planes.
