Summary
This is a parallel universe in which, if astrophage existed, it was better controlled by the taumoeba population, and even if that wasn't enough, at some point some space shenanigans threw Enterprise there (any of them), so they solved it.
In the meantime Grace lives his live without any kidnapping, and Simon has a relatively normal history. All here, on Earth.
I wonder what happens when they are thrown in different situations together.
(or: look at my lab bugs! aren't they shiny? im going to do behavioral studies on them!)

Summary
Grace and Rocky find Simon on the trip back to Erid and rescue him, despite the frightening mutations. The problem is, with an additional human on board, food rationing is tighter than ever. Grace will need all the help he can get to survive long enough to settle on Erid, and this strange new companion seems less than willing to accept the new reality he finds himself in. Together, they will come to terms with all they have seen, all they have left behind, and all the possibility that now lays before them.
