“You were brainwashed, Raph,” April says, holding his hand. Her fingers all fit in the middle of his palm. They’re all so small. “It’s not your fault,”
“He’s my baby brother April,” Raph says, voice cracking, “I was supposed to protect him,”
April hugs him, and Raph holds her tight. He’s really crying now, big tears racing down his cheeks. It’s so fucked up, every single bit of these past few weeks, and if Raph thought about it for too long he would never stop crying.
“He’s sixteen.” The words spill out of him, right along with the tears, “He’s sixteen and he was going to die”
“I know,” April says, hugging Raph tighter.
Maybe part of Raph will be on Staten Island forever, listening to Leo say goodbye. He feels stuck there, stuck, thousands of miles away from Leo, wondering if he was the one who taught Leo to make the sacrifice play.

Leonardo is dead.
Or, at least, he should be. Instead, he is floating within a colorful vortex that reminds him too much of his own portals. He tries not to think too much about it. But, eventually he is forced to when the vortex spits him out into a world that used to be his home, many, many years ago.
Or; the one where Future!Leo somehow managed to luck out on a one in a million mere millisecond chance of a freak glitch in the space-time continuum that sends him back into the present, where the Invasion has been successfully driven back. And it looks like it was a one-way ticket travel.

A small, dark-haired child smiles up at him, brown eyes gleaming. Peter could only guess the kid was a year old, maybe two, Peter had little experience with kids he has no idea - but it’s when he turns the photograph over that the final puzzle piece snaps into place.

But he was already there, and the thought of leaving Raph’s room—with the soft lamp-light driving away the shadows, an easy sunset yellow-orange that was most decidedly not red—and returning to the endless, spilling darkness that was the rest of the lair made something inside him writhe in a blind panic, vehemently protesting against the idea and making his next breath sharp and wheezy as it stuttered through his throat. Raph was safe.
And so Leo, blanket still wrapped around his trembling form, hands white knuckled around the hems, carefully tiptoed over and climbed into Raph’s bed, just like he had used to when he was young, crawling under the massive blankets haphazardly strewn across his form and into the expanse of sturdy sheets."
