A cracky, hallucinatory, magical realism trauma-processing AU set in Digestivo, after Will rejects Hannibal and before Hannibal turns himself in. This AU explores Hannibal being so distraught after Will breaks up with him that he loses his mind a bit while he contemplates his next move.
This was inspired by Bedelia telling Will in TWOTL “Can’t live with him, can’t live without him,” which, me being me, made me think of the song Rolf sings to Kermit in the Muppet movie after he has troubles with Miss Piggy (Hope that Something Better Comes Along), which then made me think “what if Muppet Movie but Hannibal?” And then I did the thing I always do which is make it about trauma.

Rozanov, who had been planning on coming to Shane’s apartment in Montreal to fuck him the next time they saw each other. God, how on Earth is Shane going to walk into his locker room in Boston in a few days time?
The impending awkwardness of dealing with Rozanov is almost enough to eclipse the hurt he’s trying to ignore. The knowledge that Montreal values him so little that they’re willing to dispose of him only six months into his rookie season. Almost, but not quite.
