Bebe Stevens was the hottest girl at South Park High. Everyone fawned over her, and in her closest group of friends, Wendy was almost surprised that they’d stayed so close. Bebe was beautiful, and Wendy was noticeably less so. Bebe was the queen bee of the school, Wendy only her second-hand drone.
“Do you wanna sleep over?” Bebe asked, and Wendy grinned.
Bebe and Wendy have had plenty of sleepovers before. Despite the kissing tonight, nothing else has really changed.

Bruce died and Cass couldn’t breathe for a week. She didn’t want to believe it at first, didn’t want to even think of it. She knew Bruce and she knew death and they didn’t fit together, not at all.
He was gone, gone like Brenda and Bludhaven, gone like Steph had been. Like Faizul. She felt it inside of her, so keenly it was as if she had killed him by her own hand. She could search the whole earth and not find a trace of him. It was too much. The pressure was squeezing her insides, left her constantly choking for air. She couldn’t stop dry heaving.
Or: Bruce is dead. Instead of leaving, Cass stays in Gotham. She learns a thing or two about being Batman.

But… She was the parent now, whether she liked it or not. It was her job to keep her siblings safe, even at her own expense. And, honestly, she was glad to do it. She loved Klaus and she loved Sunny, and she would do anything to keep them from getting hurt.
“If…” she started slowly, keeping her gaze on anything but Olaf. She briefly caught a glimpse of Klaus, who kept glancing from her to Sunny, tears in his eyes. He was scared. She didn’t want him to be scared. “If you let Sunny go,” she continued, “then I will marry you.” She finally looked back at Olaf. “But only if you promise you will not hurt her.”
