Summary
All Melian’s descendants are exquisite waterbenders. Some of them, such as the great master Elrond, use their powers for healing. Some, such as Luthien and Arwen, mastered the wisdom of spirit communication. Some became the most skilled fighters among all of the waterbenders, such as Elladan and Elrohir. Despite Melian’s nurturing influence on all of her descendants, there were some who used their power to bend blood. The infamous king Ar-Pharazon personally trained and led a special squad of the Numenorians who bended blood to conquer the people of Middle-Earth. Now Elrond wants to close his eyes on what he saw was developing inside of Aragorn.
