Summary
“… How long was I unconscious?”
It was a normal thing to question. He feigned a softer tone to his voice, still adjusting his heavy eyelids and acknowledging Kurusu with a plaintive look in his eyes. Akechi needed to appear clueless rather than annoyed; someone who'd only gotten to know the Metaverse in the past month and had carelessly been bested by some shadow or another.
Even the Detective Prince wouldn't choose to linger in this shoddy clinic, he thought. Or maybe no facet of himself could tolerate being this close, this vulnerable, under Akira’s scrutiny. The surface of his skin continued to pulse with unfamiliarity and the sharp pain in his leg only fuelled his anger further.
He needed to get out of here.
Akechi is carelessly injured in Mementos. He awakens in a patient's bed in Takemi Medical Clinic with a worried Joker staring right at him. They are both a little reluctant to leave.

“Hey, it’s okay. I promise no matter what it is, I’ll do my best to help you.” He reassures Akechi.
“Thank you, Amamiya-kun.” He takes a deep breath and continues. “There is one fan lately that has been more… vocal about their devotion to me. They’re sending me promiscuous fanmail, showing up to all of my interviews, and well…” Akechi looks down, not willing to meet Ren’s eyes.
“Amamiya, he’s been inside my apartment.”
“O-oh my God.” He’s getting Akechi a hotel room tonight. Or he’s staying here. He won’t take no for an answer. “What did the police say?” He asks.
“I haven’t contacted them. I’m working alongside you lot, I can’t risk the police monitoring me to try and catch him.” He shakes his head. “He has photos of me changing, and showering, and a video of me um… well, you know.”
“I— you— I get the gist.” He fills in the blanks, trying not to think too hard about Akechi slowly stroking his—
“I looked him up in the Nav, I was hoping to get a mementos hit, but… he has a palace.” Oh.
Akechi’s stalker has a palace, Joker and Crow can handle it themselves, right?

Goro was aware the Phantom Thieves' plan to have their leader captured by the police was stupidly dangerous, but it also seemed like a foolproof plan to tie up some loose ends and get Shido off his back for a while. No one had expected Akira would get drugged and beaten within an inch of his life; no one could have foreseen it coming.

Nimble fingers carefully map out every blemish they reach with such delicacy and care that it almost makes Goro squirm; there’s a rebuttal on his tongue, boiling hot and ready to burst, but Akira beats Goro to the punch before the brunet can open his mouth.
“You’re special to me. More than you most likely think— ” Akira mumbles, pressing one final kiss to the back of Goro’s hand. Gazing at Goro through thick eyelashes, his next words are mumbled against rough skin. “So, I want to take my time with you. Savor every last drop.”

“Would you ever…oblige me when it comes to…certain sexual acts?”
Akira almost wanted to laugh at how clinical and very Goro Akechi that had sounded, but he was too shocked to even do so. “What ‘sexual acts’?”
“I have difficulty giving up control.”
Isn’t that the truth? “And?”
“I probably won’t even like it,” Goro said as he waved his hand dismissively. “But what if you…ah, restrained me?”
Restrained. Restrained. Akira couldn’t help it. His chopsticks slid from his grip as he stared at Goro, slack-jawed. There were only two things running in his mind in that moment—1), fuck fuck fuck what the actual fuck, and 2), red rope would look so good with his complexion, wouldn’t it?

"We're you about to close up?" He tilted his head to one side, his long brown hair moving sideways with him, "I didn't mean to interrupt if this should be the case." he forced one of those detective prince smiles onto his face while not being sure for what reason he would so such things, he obviously knew this was a waste of effort, it wasn't like Kurusu wouldn't know his true ugly behaviors anyways, knew he was a rather ruthless and careless man.
The boy made a step away from the door only to rush behind the counter as if someone would chase after him at that, "Nope I wasn't. Not if it's your beautiful face showing up here." Kurusus face turned from his previously fussed expression into a wicked smirk as he looked over to the detective who was still standing in front of the previously closing door of the small place.
Akechi couldn't do anything but role his eyes by this comment, it was something he was already used to and he was pretty convinced he hated this behavior just like everything else on this man, "How very generous of you Kurusu" his voice having some sour note to it, "but if you planned on closing I wouldn't want to disturb you in doing so."

“Why…” He shakes his head, faltering over his words. What can he say to that? “What’s wrong with what we have?” He asks, wetting his lips and then it hits him, even before Amamiya speaks the words.
“There is nothing wrong, I just…” The thief looks almost shy, smiling down at Goro like that. “I’d like more.”
Love triumphs over all - except, well, Goro doesn't think he ever felt love. Isn't sure if he is able to love at all.

The suggestion makes Goro’s brain come screeching to a halt.
A room? A hotel? The two of them? In a hotel room? Together? No. No no no, FUCK no—he’d rather light himself on fire and die screaming.
“Absolutely not,” he says, as soon as the shock wears off and his tongue starts working again. “That is not happening, Akira. Not in a million years.”

Then, he flashed Ren one of those plastic smiles. “Besides, it’s nothing I can’t handle. If I couldn’t, I probably would have given up ages ago.”
Something about that smile and those words gave Ren an odd feeling that something was wrong. That there was something he had to do, or something he had to say. And no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t quite put a finger on what was causing it or what exactly was even wrong.
But before he got a chance to fully think it over or act on it, a sound filled the relative quiet of the cafe. The sound of a phone ringing, to be specific.
