Summary
"Mike scowls down at the picture and takes it tightly between two hands. He grits his teeth and rips at the photo until it splits in two, leaving Will smiling back at him in one piece and this Carlton guy in the other. Mike grins down at the photo of Will and slips it into his jacket pocket as the city begins to peek over the horizon. He drops the half with Carlton (really, what the fuck kind of name is Carlton?) onto the dirty bus floor and crushes it with the toe of his Converse."
or will sends mike a letter that includes a polaroid of him and his new bf, and mike immediately catches a greyhound bus and hauls ass to new york city to homewreck and get his man back. feat. jonathan and robin as emotional support.

Summary
"This has been a recurring problem since Will came back from the Upside Down. Mike feels like he can’t take his eyes off him, ever. What if he disappeared again? Mike couldn’t let that happen. He’d already taken Will for granted once, and look what had happened.
Will’s watching him carefully now. “I can go back home this afternoon, if you want. By myself, I mean.”
Mike scowls. “Why would you do that?”
Will breaks the gaze and looks back down at his drawing, smudging a line. “So you can go to bed at a decent time. And not wake up in the middle of the night every time I have a nightmare. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry! I want to be with you. I missed you. I’m…” Mike looks down at Will’s hand that’s closest to him, gripping a bright yellow pencil and tapping it against his notebook. He thinks about reaching out and grabbing it, just for a moment. To steady him. To let Will know that he’s not going anywhere. I’m scared of losing you again, he finishes in his head. He feels scared to say it, though he can’t name why."---------

Summary
“What’s your last name, then?” Buck prompts. He doesn’t know what to say, how to keep this going, but he knows he’s not ready for the conversation to end.
“Diaz.”
Diaz. Diaz. Diaz. Buck rolls the name over in his mind. He likes the sound of it.
“Do people ever call you Diaz?”
“Not if they want me to respond.” He smiles at Buck then, a real smile that shows off his slightly crooked teeth. His eyes are a warm, dark brown that makes Buck’s head feel a little like soup.
Well, shit, Buck thinks.

Summary
Buck can’t breathe. He’s suffocating here in this closet, in these clothes, in the proximity of his and Eddie’s faces. There’s only a few inches left between them. Buck doesn’t have it in himself to fight any harder to recover any lost space between them.
“I mean it,” Eddie reinforces. “Tell me, Buck.”
Buck can see the shine of Eddie’s eyes in the little bit of light, awake and earnest now. He’s been so good for Buck, especially since the lightning strike. He’s always there to help or hang out or talk to Buck and keep him from getting too lost in his own head. He’s so good, and Buck–well, doesn’t know how he could be expected to resist it.

Summary
Will can’t allow himself the luxury of a wet dream tonight, so he wills for Mike to stop moving.
Mike does not stop moving.
Will frowns, mustering up more focus, sharpening his control.
Mike still doesn’t stop, but he lets out an annoyed whine. “What’s fucking tugging at me right now?”
What.
“I’m—trying to stop you. Stop.” Will’s voice comes out warped and distant, unused to being spoken out loud in the dreamscape.
Mike stops moving, as instructed, breathing heavily against Will’s open mouth. “Why? Isn’t this—isn’t this just a dream? Come on.”
Huh?!
What is Will’s subconscious trying to achieve right now?—or—
Will's powers have been acting up lately, thanks to the stress of college and a part time job.
He finds solace in his usual lucid dreams. Except, suddenly — they get clearer. More vivid. More out of control.
Will assumes it’s just his subconscious working through some very obvious problems.
Mike assumes he’s just having weird sex dreams about his best friend because he’s stressed and pent-up.Neither of them realizes they’re sharing them.

Summary
Whatever was thrumming between them, whatever was dripping from the low cadence of Mike’s voice — it was the same thing that had bloomed behind Will’s eyelids as he locked eyes with Mike in that lamplight. A tension seemed to rise, one that Will couldn’t make any sense of. He wanted to write it off. Wished that he could.
New York City, 1990. Normalcy bleeds into domesticity bleeds into longing.

Summary
“I need like– actionable steps. ‘Act normal’ is too vague.”
Will sighs and reaches over to turn the radio down even quieter.
“Ok for one, stop staring at my mouth,” Will says.
Mike glances over at him automatically.
Will laughs. “See? That’s exactly what I mean. You’ve been doing it for years, but now it’s like…it’s a lot, Mike. People are gonna notice.”
“But I wanna kiss you,” Mike whines.
It’s been a week since Mike and Will got together – one blissful week, like a honeymoon before the wedding. Now they’re in Montauk for Joyce and Hopper’s, surrounded by friends and family, and trying to fly under the radar. Somewhere along the way, Mike realizes he doesn’t want to hide anymore.
Or, two horny idiots in love struggle to keep their relationship hidden.

Summary
“It’s not my fault that it took me so long to figure myself out,” Mike says thickly, no longer angry, instead just barely holding back tears as he repeats the sentiment that Debbie has spent so long trying to get him to believe. He’s not sure why this is the thing pushing him towards accepting it as truth, but he means it when he says it—means it, too, when he continues with, “It’s not my fault that it was hard for me to understand how I felt. It’s not my fault that I didn’t realize what it was until after you moved on. That’s not—that’s not my fault, Will.”
