Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jean retorted, unbuttoning his shirt. “Can you go away? I’m trying to take a shower.”
Eren leaned against the counter. Mikasa had put down Elodie before she’d left for the evening, which gave them the freedom to do whatever they wanted. His eyes drifted, from the hard planes of Jean’s abdominal muscles to the long lines of his hands as he moved to undo his pants. But when he realized Eren wasn’t leaving, he stopped.
“I swear to God, Eren, I’m not in the mood for your bullshit right now,” he said and there was a trembling edge to his voice that confirmed what Eren had suspected. Jean was trying to get him out of their bathroom so he could jerk off, thinking about their nanny.

“No, everything’s fine." She can tell from the quirk of Levi’s eyebrow that he thinks that’s bullshit. “He’s just going through a phase,” she adds, with a wave of her hand.
“Well, it’s a shitty phase so I hope he gets over it soon,” Levi says, wiping his hands on the apron Mikasa and Eren got him last year for his birthday. “And if anything was going on, you’d tell me, right?” He gives her a long lingering look whose scrutiny adheres to Mikasa’s skin like cling wrap, sticking to all the places where she’s gone wrong.
“Of course,” she lies.
