    Shuuichi has always thought of himself as a law abiding citizen with good morals and nothing would change that because, well, he needed to be a law abiding citizen if he was to pursue a career as a detective in the later years of his life. He was taught and raised to do things that would be good morally, decisions that would be respected and not questioned. He was told to maintain a clean record for his future self and Shuuichi always followed that to a T.

    So when Kokichi came into his life, taking the role of ‘boyfriend’, Shuuichi was troubled.
