Shane hated clubs.
They were noisy, sweaty, crowded... everything he disliked.
Yet there he was, sitting in a booth to the side of the dance floor. There was a sticky substance coating the cracked leather seat that he really did not want to think about.
His team had won a game against Boston a couple hours ago and somehow, J.J. had pulled him and the rest of their teammates to some popular nightclub to celebrate. His friend always called Shane boring, though not in the same affectionate way Ilya always did. No, instead it was almost said with annoyance. Shane knew where J.J. was coming from when he said it, but it still stung nonetheless.
So there he was, inside some random club in the middle of nowhere trying to prove to his teammate that he was in fact, not boring.
Although, he wished that he hadn't drank as much as he did that night.
