Kroto must have been in the studio before him. He’d have to remind her to stop leaving her belongings all over the theatre even if she was the new prima donna.

Norton snorts, “Something like that.”
“It’s a nice house,” Naib continues, fingers twitching against silverware, “Rather large. But nice.”
“Thanks,” Norton stares at him, raises his fork to point at him in a way that feels far less threatening and far more accusatory. His tone is so incredibly dry, and gaze so incredibly blank, and then he adds, “Was a lot nicer before you covered it in my blood.”
And all Naib ducks his head into his hand and groan, “Campbell-”
“You know, I think that’s going to stain.”
He grabs his hood and quietly yanks it over his eyes.
Of all the people, it had to be Norton fucking Campbell.

"Okay, fine. Ronald invited me to the theatre whenever I got back. I assume you're the one who left the letter on my desk?"
"Oh, yes!" Truth clapped her hands. "The one with the strange mask! He was very memorable, yes." Inference tries not to blanch at the knowledge that Ronald just wears his stage mask everywhere – metaphorically and physically, apparently. She leans forward on her elbows, head propped in her hands. "Is it a date?"
Inference sputters. "A date?" No way. Truth was definitely more of a romantic than him, so of course she'd ask that, but –
But…
"It definitely is not. Just a meeting between two friends." Inference declares with finality.

“Cheshire?”
The Cheshire Cat is still in his humanoid form, lounging in midair as if he was lying on a sofa, one hand holding his head. He waves one paw in the air and the crisp crack of magic fills the room. The package in front of Norton shines momentarily before dispersing into blue particles. The particles reform into about six small, blue cats who all take off through the shop door, going straight through it with their incorporeal form.
Norton sighs. “That’s the last of the orders for today.”
“About time.” Norton watches as Cheshire’s entire body stretches out once, and then quickly shrinks in on itself, turning him into his cat form.
He floats down towards Norton and winds himself around his neck, a bit like a well-fitting scarf.
OR
Just Norton running his magical store with the help of his familiar, the Cheshire Cat.
