Steve is incredibly, inexpressibly grateful to have Bucky back. He is. There is no amount of nightmares, of rage, of grief and alcohol-fuelled fights that can make him anything less than absolutely humbled by the wonder of having Bucky in his life again after losing him, after living without him for three excruciating years.
But.
It’s so selfish he’s a little disgusted with himself. He’s got what’s as close as dammit to a bona fide miracle — and still, every now and then, in the darkest recesses of his mind, he’s not satisfied.

Summary
For Harry, Beltane is a reminder of everything he sacrificed for a world that doesn't really seem all that 'saved', Voldemort aside. The rest of the Wizarding World expects him to celebrate their deliverance right along with them - where 'celebrate' mostly equals shaking hands with a lot of people he doesn't know and probably wouldn't like if he did.

The principal had asked her to contact an adult. The principal had not specified how old said adult should be, nor if the adult had to be related to her or otherwise legally obligated to her. The principal had said "adult" and "can come in as soon as possible" in the same sentence, and so Blue had contacted the only person she knew who was both over eighteen and not currently at work or at school.
Ronan did not have to be asked twice. He barely had to be asked once—Blue had simply texted 'im getting suspended again', and despite his aversion to cell phones, he had immediately replied 'HA. omw'.

It wasn’t solely in his head. That was the worst part. His head was a fractured and exhausted place, but he knew his way around it well enough. But this lived in the wilder terrain of his body, of his fingers curling—had they always done this?—at the sound of Ronan’s wicked laugh, of his stupid stubborn heart picking up its pace when Ronan’s name crossed his screen. It was in his veins and in his nerves and in other places he had spent too long resolutely ignoring to be able to control with any success now.
(Or: Adam gets a phone, a kiss, an idea, and a nervous breakdown; Ronan gets a job. They're both figuring it out.)

“Missing father, comatose mother,” Adam narrates, listing it like the dozen times before, “Declan Lynch, older brother that I forged. Matthew Lynch, younger brother and seemingly oblivious. Ronan grew up on a farm, Gansey,” he protests. “He drag races with some local asshole, he has a pet bird, his grades are appalling, but he’s just a guy.”
Even as Adam says it, it infuriates him because that dream had been unlike anything he’s been in before.
Adam Parrish is the best forger and point man in the dream business and he's never screwed up -- not until Gansey takes a job from Colin Greenmantle to steal something called a Greywaren from Ronan Lynch's dreams. Now, Adam is forced to accept he's out of his league and is learning that there's more to dreams than he ever considered, all while he falls for the mark.
