Summary
Being the so called "Honored One" means that there's always people out for Satoru's blood. Maybe with others around, constantly being on guard won't be so much of a daily thing, even if there are people hiding around the corner who can't decide if they want to kill him or worship him.
But as a wise man once said, if Satoru considers himself a wise man, the world seems to know when you become vulnerable enough to keep taking hits.
This is gonna be my one and only whumptober 2024 post because I'm lazy :P

Summary
“Wait– Gojo!” Suguru calls and he stops in the doorway, slowly turning to face the other boy. His face already looks pissed, as if just hearing his voice was already pushing him close to demolishing the classroom. “I just wanted to say sorry for yesterday.”
Satoru’s face doesn’t change. Shit, did he say something wrong? Suguru takes a deep breath “I mean, that I shouldn’t have reacted like that.”
“Good to know.” Satoru replies stiffly and walks out the door.
Suguru is curious about the very elusive and secretive third student in his class, watching him always stand at a distance or rush out of class right as it ends. Even if he was some prodigy child, there was something off with how he avoided his classmates like they were the plague. He knows the boy has a secret that he would take to the grave.

I believe in you. Rick freezes for a moment. He used to imagine those words, imagine the tone of her voice laced with teasing, but sweetly genuine all the same. He used to hear her words echoing through his head as he destroyed, over and over again. He heard her voice as he ran through the woods, lights and shouting chasing after him-
“Everything alright Rick?”
Rick snaps his gaze back up to her and smiles. “Oh yeah, just had a thought. That’s all.”

Summary
“Can I put my mouth on yours?” Suguru whispers. His thumbs are digging into the dimples in Gojo’s back, forearms plastered to the bumps of his spine. But Suguru can’t touch everywhere, and Gojo’s mouth continues to bleed. There’s a gurgle in the back of Gojo’s throat as he chokes on his own blood.
Gojo nods jerkily.
Suguru puts their mouths together, forcing down the initial revulsion the taste of blood spurs in his gut. He angles his face down, trying to place as much of his skin against Gojo’s as he can. The sound the other boy lets out is one that Suguru thinks is a groan of humiliation. Suguru counts backwards in his head from five hundred, feeling the subtle change from bleeding mouth to smooth, overly soft, lips. He thinks about the copious amounts of lip product Gojo insists on using. Chapstick in forty different flavors, tucked into pockets, pulled out in bouts of boredom. Vanilla, cherry, peach. Suguru’s personal favorite: a crisp peppermint that carries when Gojo speaks.

Summary
This time, it’s different. This time he’s not thinking about himself, about fake niceties and clenched teeth that mimick a smile. He’s thinking about Gojo Satoru, about snappy retorts and bitter sneers and small circular sunglasses.
Just maybe, the two of them are more alike than he thought. Maybe their masks are just painted with different designs. A sneer and a smile. Both baring their teeth. Masks they wake up every day and choose to plaster on because they’re what works, not because they’re comfortable or truthful.
Maybe even because of how untruthful they are.
or, the one where they learn it might be okay if they can just be good enough for each other

Summary

Summary
Satoru comes home in a rush, begging Suguru to pretend to be his boyfriend at the party they're going to that night. Satoru's ex will be there; she is some girl from another elite family who thought she and Satoru were meant to be. And, while Suguru knows this will only further the torture of hiding his true feelings for Satoru, he agrees. He can never say no to him, but he can't risk losing him.
What he doesn't know is that pretending to be his best friend's boyfriend includes a lot more than he originally assumed. As the night goes on, the line between what's fake and what's real blurs. But Satoru doesn't like Suguru. He can't, Suguru believes. And, by the next morning, Suguru's stuck with the reality that he might have ruined their perfect friendship.
