Summary
Austin has been hit with a freak ice storm, of all things. And, as TK quickly learns, dealing with winter weather is not the same as dealing with winter weather in a place where no one is used to it. Of course, everything turns to disaster, as it so often tends to, but when a rescue gone wrong puts TK at risk it's all his family can do to save him and hope for the best.

"TK-" Carlos said softly but TK shook his head and looked down at his lap, unable to meet Carlos' eyes out of fear of what he might find there. He was the one who started this conversation, but that didn't mean that made it any less terrifying. They were in uncharted territory now, and TK wasn't sure if their relationship would make it out in one piece.

“TK!” He turns to follow the voice and finds Owen on the couch in the living room. “How’d the appointment go?”
He ponders the question for a minute as he heads to the fridge to grab a water. He thinks back to the 45 minutes he spent at the clinic, about Carlos and the way he seems to care about his patients. He’s supportive yet wants TK to succeed on his own. TK thinks that’s a great philosophy on how to treat patients, like active members of their own recovery.
He leans against the kitchen counter before addressing his dad. “It was really good, actually. I’ve got a good feeling about it.”

In his seven years on the job, TK can count on one hand how many babies he's actually delivered. Usually, their patient is in labour longer than the ambulance ride to the hospital—or they show up a few minutes too late, and just have to deal with the aftercare. And, if he's being honest, he's not sure he can even count two of the four babies he's helped bring into this world because he was essentially just an extra pair of hands while the 252's paramedic captain took charge.
But he's pretty sure that's the last thing Camilla wants to hear right now.

Maybe they can tell or something, that he’s in a relationship that’s not meant to last. Maybe when he’s with the right person they’ll look at him and see something and that’s when they’ll ask. He can wait until then.

Robbe’s no stranger to desire, but the low pull in his gut watching this guy dance... it's something new entirely. Lean hips in light wash tight jeans, loose tank tucked into the waistband where he’s pressed hard against the back of the girl in front of him. Desire and then some. Robbe barely notices her shimmying and shaking, too caught up in the way the guy looks so lost in the music. It’s nothing special, just some remix of an eighties song, something synth-y, but he’s in it. Toned arms, cut jaw, perfect teeth when he leans back to smile at the ceiling. His dark eyebrows furrow in what can only be pleasure, and Robbe feels his own unconsciously mirror, sucking part of his bottom lip into his mouth.
