Summary
Damian was on anaesthesia, moments away from going under. It was barely a whisper. He wasn't lucid when he said it, hell, he probably had no idea he spoke. But he still did. The word still came out.
Damian looked at him, eyes blown wide with pain and drugs, and opened his mouth. "Father."
Dick felt himself freeze. He didn't hear what Damian said next, the word reverberating around his head like an echo in the cave. He just stared as Damian's eyes closed and Alfred wheeled him away.

Damian, high on painkillers, calls Dick his father. Dick, still fragile with the feeling of replacing Bruce, has a lot of feelings about that. But maybe there's something else he could be - neither father nor brother. Something maybe nobody else can understand, not really.
