Ilya breaks his phone and gets his hair cut the day before Boston plays Ottawa. Shane is in town and has an appointment booked. His childhood hairdresser gives them some privacy. And a couple Centaurs show up

Part 3 of Bumping into Each Other
*********Ilya had seen him come out through the sliding doors and decided not to say anything. He would finish his cigarette and then go back to his Lamborghini in the parking garage, go home and try to forget. Except he could see Shane flustered and frustrated, it looked like he was having trouble booking a car. He stubbed out his cigarette and tossed it in the trash not far from where Shane stood.
“Hollander.” Ilya motioned with his head.
“Oh hey?” Shane didn’t understand the gesture.
“I’ll give you a lift.”
OR:
Shane and Ilya end things after tuna melt gate but they still have to play against each other the next day. During the game they ignore each other. Their teammates get injured and admitted to hospital. They don’t expect to bump into each other.
It’s raining and there are no available taxis so Ilya offers Shane a ride. Stuck in traffic, they end up talking out the day before. Will anything change?

“Oh?” Shane hesitated before continuing.
“Hmm. Hang out? I don’t think that’s a good idea.” The words ‘hang out’ seemed to be said with implied air quotes by Shane.“Get your mind out of the drain, Hollander. I meant hang out, like go do some tourist things.”
“Drain? You mean gutter?”
“Whatever” Ilya huffed.
“I don’t know, wouldn’t that be weird? We’re not exactly friends.”
Ilya wanted to point out that he knew Hollander pretty intimately but he thought that might scare him off more.
“This is hurtful, Hollander. You would rather watch paint dry than hang out with Russian. I did not know you were Xenophobic”.OR:

Summary
I like the idea of these ‘sliding doors’ moments between these two guys. They are totally obsessed with each other and I think if they somehow were able to spend more time together without the expectations of hockey or immediately hooking up then I think their obvious ‘like’ for one another could come out in any number or ways.
Fancy seeing you here. What if the two hockey boys ran into each other outside of games when they’re in the same city.

Summary
Ilya stepped towards Shane and when he didn’t step back, Ilya took the opportunity to wrap him in his arms.
“I just wanted you to know that it would be okay if you did need to do that.” He wanted to make sure that he said the right thing so that Shane wouldn’t be spooked. He had already fucked this up severely. But even then, Shane deserved to know everything.
“I don’t believe in cheating.” Shane stilled in his arms before he finished with, “I don’t own you Shane.”
Everything in Shane’s face shattered and Ilya knew that despite his attempts he had said something terribly wrong.
Shane turned on his heel and hauled ass out of the bedroom. By the time Ilya could catch up to him, he was gone.
And now Ilya was speeding to Montreal because four days was far too long for comfort.
OR the one where Ilya tells Shane he can see other people and then regrets it.
