Zelda had requested his assistance, so Link set out to learn what he could to about these strange new threats. Encountering heroes from the past was a surprise, but it gave him hope to have friends by his side.
He did his best to hold onto that hope, but that is harder than it should be when his first impression isn’t all that great.
When all is said and done, Link - Wild - must decide if the Heroes of the Forgotten Past are worth opening up to.

Edward laughs freely for a moment, but then he sobers up, little by little, before placing his hand on Winry’s jaw, his thumb caressing her cheek. It’s so gentle, so precious. She leans against his palm, closing her eyes briefly. Edward holds her there, for a moment, gazing at her face.
“Don’t do this again, ok?” He says when she opens her eyes. “Call me. If you need anything, I mean, anything, just call me. I’m here.”
Winry nods after a beat of silence. She leans forward, kissing his lips. “Okay.”

Summary
Winry takes a step closer and Edward’s body vibrates with her proximity, he feels shattered and bare, exposed to his core.
“Take me, then.” Her breath touches his chin, her head tilts, her tongue wetting her lips. “I know you are armed. Cut through my father’s security and take me far away. Wed me yourself and make me yours.”
Edward hates the torment his life has become since he met Winry Rockbell.

It wasn’t for lack of trying that she’s in this position. On both occasions when Ed called during his trip (twice in six months, and just to check in—a record, to be sure) she almost told him but didn’t. She’d wanted to, but allowed herself to fail under the pretense that it might keep him that much more focused, and thereby that much safer. Only now does she acknowledge that this reasoning was just cowardice behind an excuse. Ed at his most focused is just as prone to disaster as he would be walking blind into a firing range. This visit only proves it.

Even if he also knows his heart jumps a little too much when Nico wants to hang out, and falls a little too low any time Nico brings up his boyfriend. Which, admittedly has been less and less lately.

Firm, deep, grounding pressure.
She’s breathtaking. She yearns to say it. Instead, her gaze darts to her lips. The same shade as her own.
Quietly, she asks, “What is the nature of a relationship between two immortals?”
“You are not immortal, Melinoë. And I am far, far older than you.”
After a rough night, Melinoë joins her Headmistress for a drink at the springs.

It only changes how much Nico’s friends bother him about his former infatuation with Percy Jackson - former being the operative word. Having a crush on some actor might’ve been cute as a teenager, but Nico grew out of it a long time ago, and anyway what do they think is going to happen? It’s not like Nico’s going to run into him on the street or something - real life isn’t like the movies.
